Introduction

Skamord Mining owns control over a considerably big reserve of graphite mineral in Arunachal Pradesh. They employ new and advanced forms of sophisticated technology that focuses on safe mining operations without causing much damage to the sustainable environment. This group, in an endless endeavor to discover new forms of material and technology, have used graphite in several urban and industrial units.

Geology & Mineralization

Arunachal Himalaya is a part of the eastern Himalaya which covers an area of about 0.255 Million square kilometers.
The area is a part of the Lesser Himalaya, with steep slopes and ranges from 700 to 2000 m, separated by linear ridges and deep valleys. The area is largely inaccessible, rugged with dense to less dense forests. A number of gullies observed over the area of operation. The drainage pattern is mainly dendritic.
Regionally the lithounits of the area can be sub-divided into three groups, La and Simmi formation of Khetabari group of Palaeoproterozoic age and Daporijo gneiss. La formation is thrusted over Simmi formation, and overlain by Daporijo gneiss along another thrust contact.

The lithounits encountered in the area belongs to Khetabari formation and Daporijo Gneiss. Stratigraphically lower units are exposed in south eastern part of both prospecting area and top most units – Daporijo gneissic complex is exposed in the north western part of the areas. Carbonaceous grey phyllite, white/yellow quartzite and yellow phyllite constitute the lower most Simmi formation.
Amorphous graphite has been encountered within the graphite schist. The graphite schist occurs as patches of various dimensions and in association with carbonaceous phyllite. Three large patches have been identified over the area.

Exploration

Geological Mapping & Geophysical Survey are fundamental tools of exploration to understand the character, relations, distribution and origin or mode of formation of rock masses and mineral deposits. Skamord's experienced geologists and project managers are efficient to record accurate data/information in identifying all the geological/geophysical aspects and carried out extensive geological and structural mapping over the entire area of interest. Skamord's proficient GIS team has substantial experience in geo spatial data processing, analysis and interpretation which is supplemented by geo spatial database management.
Skamord is planning to commence extensive ground geophysical survey (Magnetic and Resistivity) over the entire area of interest to generate sub surface data and mineralization signatures to identify the target mineralization.
Pitting and trenching has been carried out over the entire area of interest. Multiple samples have been generated during the process, which have been analyzed from reputed accredited Labs.
Skamord has carried out exploratory drilling of few boreholes within the area of interest to confirm the presence of target mineralization. Tasso is planning to execute a full-fledged drilling operation (as per best industry standard) in near future to assess the mineral resource and quality.
Skamord's inhouse highly competent resource modelling and mine planning team applies latest geospatial techniques, geo-statistics and software to carry out mineral resource estimate and mine planning.
